Well I quite enjoy buying and trying stuff thats a little off mainstream (I'm pondering a full set of Quad Nano hydraulics for £85.00!), so if no ones used'em only one way to find out! :wink:

I've seen'em on Ebay but never seen or heard of anyone running them... I'm quite tempted as well for a budget new build I may be doing for my brother sometime soon though... The only thing that would stop me is BB7's can be had new fr&rr for the same price, and I know what I'd automatically go for.

Morning all! Has anyone any experience with 'Quad Nano' Disc brakes I've seen on Ebay at all? If so are they any good? I know they won't be a match for Hope's or Shimano's which I've mainly been on the verge of buying but just wondering as an introductory set to get into the world of...

Nice looking cranks 8). If you ever come across spare chainrings snap'em up as I believe like some FSA K force carbon cranks your cranks run a rare 4 bolt 94 bcd... And even alot of the custom 'we'll make any chainring' makers weren't interested when I enquired. *Although edited to say it...

Oh very nice and I love the depth of the original colour! A guy that used to work at my Dad's friends centre where I got mine from (and possibly the only two back then that didn't come through Shockwave) had one in the colours above and I can always remember thinking how nice it was 8)...

Really like that! Good work :). I don't normally like saying what I'd change on other peoples rides as everyones different but if it were mine I'd maybe go for some Charge splashbacks or another skinwall tyre to get s lightly more classic look being such a classic looking frame 8)

You can just get a disc conversion kit like this: Brake Therapy is what I went for as by far the best made and neatest but there are cheaper options on the interweb.

All perfectly good options imho... The only prob given these are mechanical discs is the flex in the cables is only the same as v-brakes etc so the cable is more rigid than maybe with a hydraulic hose? But the more rigid cable once cable tied to the leg really doesn't flex or move at all :)

I've got some 85mm Magura Menja's waiting to go on my Funk frame so will be interesting. At the end of the day it's your bike so within reason put whatever you like on it, if you think it looks or feels crap, change it... if you like it, bonus! 8)
