I built my first wheel! Haven’t ridden on it yet but it’s straight & true & was pretty easy following along with the park tool you tube video. Laced it at the kitchen table & tensioned & trued it up on another 26” bike using the brake pads as my reference.

Old rim cracks on the mavic 217 Intact mavic222 Used rim waiting for me to get new spokes & nipples

I found a mavic 222 rim and I have taken the old cracked mavic 217 rim off the hub. Next step is to re set the spokes into the “new” rim. First wheel build for me so I’m not spending any more just yet. I’m going to see how it goes back together as is. Pics to come… 🎡
