Sealed Shimano freehub service - need advice

I know these aren’t designed to come apart but does anyone know if you can buy the metal / shaped washers that don’t come out without destroying them?

You can usually pop them out of a FHB with a plastic tyre lever.

There are 2 common shapes bitd.

But it's just a seal to keep the crap out - you could probably make something out of pipe cleaners and sticky backed plastic🤞
 
Yes, I've seen people just tap them out, the one I removed today wouldn't even come out with a slide hammer! I've managed to find a replacement from a R500 which has a rubber surround so was quite easy to remove. I guess that's the only way forward, to find salvaged ones 👍

I think they jam and distort easily.

I don't think shimano ever supplied spares for the freehub body itself - the entire body is the replacement part.
Often still available though.
 
Yes, it's tricky finding these types of Shimano spares, like you say just replace the whole thing. Unfortunately I have the mentality of spending £300's worth of time to save myself £30 😂 and end up with a used part! Thanks for your input 👍
