Thanks for the detailed reply, it does look like what you describe, paint over heavy pitting, I will do a bit of research based on the great info but will prob leave it to a professional to sandblast and filler! 👍✌️

Help needed please I picked up a rather beautiful 1956-57 fancy lugged Carlton International recently however it has some very unusual wear to paint. Have tried to capture it below not sure if the paint has a thick vanish that has been damaged or it’s just rust comings through or something...

Don't agree with this as I believe starting an action at a low first bid (99p) is/was proven to consistently generate on average a higher selling price then stating an auction at a higher starting price (£99). The higher first bid puts people off and then they don't get caught up in a bidding...
