Marzocchi Z2 bomber for 1998 Kona Kula

My Kula is fitted with a rigid fork. I'm thinking of putting a Z2 bomber on it, and am looking at a 1997 vintage Z2 that has a 181mm steerer tube (1 1/8"). Can anyone tell me whether that is the proper length? If not, what should I be looking for? Any help much appreciated.

1-1/8" is correct, you'll want to measure yours to confirm length.

What size frame is it? 181mm isn’t that longer steerer. It would not likely work with anything above a 17/18.

Thanks for that info. The frame is an 18 - I will need to drop the fork and measure that steerer to see. Was being a little lazy not doing it earlier.

You should just be able to measure from the crown race to the top of the stem, that should give you an idea how close it is, more than 8mm below the top of the stem is a little sketchy.
