Mech protectors, like hub spoke guards, were found on "family cycling" market models, but did reach higher in the market for a year or 2.

Did anyone make a cnc/ purple anodised mech protector, or were they all 1/2 kilo of pig iron?

In the end they were killed by the alloy frame replaceable mech hanger

I think something called a hanger banger existed. Can't remember how it worked out fitted but the idea was to protect your mech and hanger from taking a hit, so I think it may have had something to do with wheel qrs. Available in anno colours iirc.

with that quad crank, what stops you from using that, 12/13 speed rd, heavily modified alfine hub + modified gearbox. soo many gears.
