Today's Ride

Two exceptional winter riding days one after the other.
posted elsewhere, but i think worth sharing here too.
After more than a hundred riding days it was the most extreme of all this year.
Some 30 kms with 500 ms of elevation on ice, then downhill on an unknown trail in 30 cms of fresh snow, making the first mark. Steep singletrack in the forest, pure joy. Performed on a "28er with slick tires..
I have about 6 mtbs, but elsewhere...
water frozen in the bottle, and smartphone battery died after an hour, so i could not document the best parts

Next day was also demanding, but a bit less extreme, and my batteries kept working. I started up a bit later, just to avoid making a very difficult day like the previous one.
Bike was breaking the ice like Lenin nuclear ice breaker 🤣

Today i had to push the bike uphill for about an hour to have some downhill ride. On my usual uphill access were lumberjacks, and i'm pissed by the sound of chainsaw, so i took the hard way up. It was ok, just for some variety. Downhill another spoke broke again, i just have to face the fact that it's not the intended use of this bike
It was a nice day, but that type of wet cold, which is really nasty. And it was very icy of course. Saw a lot of animals today

Ok, as i was kindly informed by @The History Man ,i am supposed to flood this thread with my content.
So today's ride is:

Xmas Special Edition.

Nothing really special, just some 25 kms around the block or so. Weather was exceptionally lovely.
It's the best decision under any circumstances to leave the house.

I could enjoy our great road quality.

They are quite massive. Zippers too. Were loaded several times with Aldi's finest goods.
Haberland, a German brand. Tried to stay more or less period correct.
The previous ones were the real thing, but they failed after a year when once i gave the bike to someone to use.
