Today's Ride

Love Swinley - many an hour lost there.

Got out for an early evening spin yesterday, with the haze and at long, long, long last, for the first time this year, a WARM breeze!

At Carn Brea looking down in the direction of HQ.

This morning, stiff SSW breeze, 18 degrees but felt more 16 in the shade, hazy in parts, clear as a bell in others. No messing today, a solid 30 miles around the peninsula, taking in all that's good. Absolutely loved it, but now it's time to pack the car and head inland for Mayhem...

Evening ride, joined by my better half. Went to the local beach and scorned the houses that have been built too close to the shoreline.

I took a glamour shot of the bike, only to realise that in sunlight the two gold colours don't match at all. Think I will be changing to a black seatpost. Sad.

Weather was lovely, probably about 18c, not a breeze at all. Many people out and about. 20220620_214117.webp 20220620_214127.webp 20220620_214409.webp 20220620_214134.webp 20220620_214159.webp 20220620_214651.webp

Saturday's laps around the Marston Lodge were mercifully dry for the most part, with scattered showers during the 6 hours not lasting more than 10 mins. It really only started coming down with 30 mins left, and past 20:00 it descended into heavy rain for the rest of the night. A lucky escape all round.

This morning, blue skies and glorious sunshine and yes, you've guessed it, another NE wind, resulting in temperatures around 13 degrees, feeling slightly less in the shade. Shorter loop back around Carn Brea after a lunchtime run around the Truro office yesterday resulted in 500ft gain in 40'ish minutes

Blue skies and glorious sunshine....soon to be replaced this evening with rain. We edged 19 degrees yesterday afternoon, this morning 14 with a NE breeze. Slightly hazy, but still wonderful, so wonderful I almost forgot to stop and take a snap. This is between New Mill and Madron.

The pollen has gone, but grass seed and cut grass is in full affect. Nicely dosed up on Beconase...Alan Baxter style.

It doesn't work for everyone tho and it's not an instant thing you need to dose up early in spring before the pesky pollen! Everything down that way is amazing....one day I'll live there ✌️
