Hi jaseh the forks are in really good condition with no damage to the stanchions or seals, seem to work well, there is some wear to the paint and slight peeling of the stickers, quite amazing considering the age :) I'm not sure of the length of the steerer tube, I will however let you know when/if I decide to split. :)

Re: ZR Platinum TREK 7000 final reduction £ 100 posted

The whole bike is still available , but if I split this then the bars and stem are dibbed for gruff, and there is also jaseh who has expressed an interest in the fork.

If your interested in any parts let me know, and I can work out if its worth splitting to help retrofolk.

Is the rear wheel true-able do you think, or will it deffo need replacing?

Hi LikeClockwork

I think the rim might be salvageable if your good with wheels, however I'm not  ,

I can and will supply another rear wheel for this bike if sold complete , its nothing special but its a shimano hubbed affair, and is true and runs smooth.

The rear LX hub that is on the damaged rear wheel is usable and runs smooth though, so if the rim is toast , it' would build into another rim. :)

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ian, fairly good with wheels so shouldn't be a prob, going to sleep on it literally now, let you know in the morn, but would be interested in bike complete

Thanks kaz. , no problem, I'm not in a great hurry to split or sell tbh,( although the space is desperately needed :( ), I'd ideally like to sell the bike complete and as original if possible, preserving the history an all that. :) ;) , so just let me know when your ready :)

Thanks Ian, I'll PM you, might be moving this weekend so there's no rush!

Gruff, I will be swapping out the stem and bars for something shorter/riser if you're still interested in them? :xmas-big-grin:
