First sales post so If I've done anything wrong please let me know.
Picked this up recently on my travels as it was part of a two bike deal.
Loverly light alloy frame , eastern program tubing , believe the frame to be bonded, super smooth tube junctions
Size is a classed as a trek 17" frame, this measures 17" centre to top and 15.5" centre to centre of the top tube, if you need any more sizes please drop me a line.
Believe the bike to be around 94-96 ish, and the component spec (mainly STX) is original apart from the seat/stem and tyres, from what the original owner said.
The bad bits to point out, this was buried under piles of tat in a basement and subsequently the frame has loads of scratches, and one tiny dent under the top tube (I tried to photo it but could not really pick it out)
The brake pads, and cables will need replaced along with the bottom bracket.(although it is usable it's not super smooth) the rear rim is also buckled so will need either repaired or replaced, the rear hub is a LX unit and runs smooth , however the rubber boot around the wheel axle has also split.
Other than that , all the parts seem to be in good working condition for the year, forks dont have any marks on the stanchions and the fork boots are not split , the chain has no wear according to a park chain gauge, so assume the cassette will be ok.
Asking a revised £ 100 couriered to any address within the uk, £ 30 for postage and £ 70 for the bike, considering the dribble available from the likes of the big H stores , I think this is a bargain,
Some photos below, if you'd like anymore please let me know.
The bike is pictured minus the chain and flat plastic pedals, these will be included within the sale.
