Zero views ?

My son buys and sells a few trick titanium and carbon parts on eBay (he's into the weight weenie variety).

Sometimes he lists stuff with perfectly normal headings, in the right category, with good photos (not particularly rare items) and gets zero views. While other parts get plenty (similar). Has eBay got a new algorithm on the go?

Strange init!

I search for Pace bits almost daily and this bike nvr showed up in my search results

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176699400819

I only spotted it bcause someone posted it here, i saved it to my watch list but during the 3 or so weeks it was listed, it never showed up in my searches.. it was getting lots of views/watches, i just wasn't one of them

Same thing for me. Selling a Sora groupset, normal headings with all the right details. Been up for 11 weeks. 12 views somehow. Must be something about how Ebay displays items.

Or absolutely nobody is looking for a sora groupset...
The "canny" would list it at least as
"not 105" ,
maybe "not dura ace"!🤣

I would be curious to know if other members have noticed the same on eBay recently?

It's extemely difficult to know as theres is no visibility to the algorithm that eBay uses to display search results but still there must be some reasoning as to why certain listings are just not displayed at all in certain searches...

Sora is above claris but below tiagra.

claris>sora>tiagra>105>ultegra>dura-ace

it's perfectly decent, often found on bikes at 1000£.

Not bike-snob friendly though😉
