Zaskar Build

mvt20ten

Dirt Disciple
I've nearly got all the parts together to begin building the Zaskar I always wanted when I was younger, with a few modern bits to compliment the retro parts.

Pace RC36
Magura HS22 brakes
XT Groupset
Mavic 717 Rims
Flight Saddle

My dilemma come with installing the Magura brakes and having to drill the rear cable guides so they can be fitted properly. I'm very reluctant to do this, but I really want to use these brakes.... Opinions please!

Cable ties? Has worked for me in a similar situation with a 14 year-old Hope Hydro rear disc on a GT. Not necessarily pretty, but functional - it's held up for all those years.

cor, that was quick....

Glad to help. I had a set of them on my Pace and they worked a treat.

My Zaskar also has HS22s and the hoses were held on by animal watch straps, I always though this was rather awesome!

The Maguras are a tad faded now though due to sun damage, so not convinced they'll go back on mine.

A few more goodies added to the build
