your top pick for rigid fork?

what you have or would like to have that you'd consider the best rigid retro fork. discuss and say why?

i'm considering something for a Merlin Ti and like to know what would be a good fit. however, please feel free to direct your decision outside of my application.

Pros: large, beefy looking tubes help balance the oversized tubes of the frame; super lightweight; boron/carbon fiber bonded to aluminum helps reduce vibration & increases rider comfort; smooooth welds and drop outs

Cons: only compatible with oversized head tubes; expensive; very hard to find these days

Ritchey Logic are a good fork. light. excellent finish. In fact keep it rigid. As suser is pointless.

The key must surely be what it is going on - as Jeff says above, the Stratos fork looks great on a fat tubed Klein but, the converse is that it would look out of place on skinny tubed steel (leaving aside heatube incompatability).

That said, I'd say Pace RC30s as 'best' rigid fork, whatever that means. Why?

Pros:
Very direct/stiff
Very easy to swap steerers, inch or 1 1/8th, threaded or threadless, all absolutely no problem
No nonsense
British (not sure why that is relevant really)
Look proper

Cons:
Not the most forgiving of forks
May be incorrect axle to crown for newer frames

You said rigid, so accutrax. Damn rigid. As the name says, tracks accurately though
Classic design, doesn't look out of place on a Merlin. Couple with a hyperlite or ti bar to take some of the wrist sting out. . .

i have always like the p2 fork, love the very direct steering feeling they provide. got one in my explosif and a few years ago i had one in a 98 gt karakoram and it improoved the handling on that bike.

also i think they are a very nice looking fork, and not daft money unless you get the Ti one!

Haven't tried all forks and love the look of the klein forks, but I have to say Ritchey Logic's as well. Great fork, light, not too blingy, all funcionality.

Has to be the Ritchey Logic fork, a classic very very lightweight rigid fork,

It tracks really nice, and although rigid because of the design of the fork , it does not feel harsh..

I have used other designs of rigid fork, and this has to be the best imho

Oh! did I mention its really light
