Marin, for some reason they have never excited me, none of them. There are a few Specialized's for example I would like, despite their everywhereness.

I also dislike Trek immensely, mainly because they are to me the ultimate faceless conglomerate, buying up successful brands and diluting them until they kill them off.

A few things I have no interest in owning whatsoever...

Dayglo lycra (it's just wrong IMO)
Bikes with over the top paintjobs (not my style)
Anodised parts in various colours (again, not my style)
Plastic components (cheap plastic, not carbon, the kinda stuff Tupperware lunch boxes are made from)
Rigid forks (Medical reasons)
A white Kona, any other colour is acceptable (too many white Kona's around IMO)
A Whyte PRST
