I don't know roger, I got my clockwork aqua faded BITD (closest I will ever get to a yo  ) and I thought that it worked.

Suppose it all depends on the frame?

Should be picking up my refurbished powder coated luminous orange pearlescent white fade clockwork today from my LBS (can't make gears work!) so will post pictures hopefully this afternoon.
See what you think!

Breezer paint jobs.

GT (and others) splatter style.

Orange fade.

and for colours. Gulf blue & orange

Fat Aqua Fade.

and finally, not old but certainly retro, Groovy paint jobs rock.

How about a 10 colour fade in a Dave Yates/Chas Roberts style? With colour coded stem and matching forks?

I found a pic yesterday of a DONKIS KNOB in 10 shade fade and its the nicest I have seen so far. also like the funny little bike that Kaiser posted- nice colour!

That last bikes a 29'er  but does look like a mini mtb

Absolute favoutrite from bitd is Santa Cruz trans red, ball burnisched aluminium covered with transparent red. hhhmmmm Lucious.

Also quite like the Breezer's style and lately the Green to dark green fade Fat paint scheme. I'll try and post pics later

edit: this is the picture that won me over:
