Youngs "Trophy"

Emmo

Dirt Disciple
I sent a YOUNGS "Trophy" their top model of the day early 60s frame away to have some work done on it and a new paint job.Had some pictures sent to me yesterday and i should get it tomorrow (Wednesday). It looks STUNNING. Winston Vaz did the repairs (was with ROBERTS for about 20yrs) he really is a great builder, if anybody would like a top steel frame made go and see Winston, top man. His brother Mario has done the paint job and kindly filled in the slight pitters that was in some places on the frame. I did not want the small pitters showing through the paint. A person i know who has seen it in the paint shop says it looks fantastic, so much so another YOUNGS owner has said he liked it that much he would like the same paint job. Top marks for Mario and Winston two really nice genuine guys, i was really impressed when i visited the workshop with them both. Am thinking about Winstone building me a track frame with his new decals on it. I will send more pictures when i get the frame. ( feel like a kid at Christmas) Ha ha my wife always said she has 4 children and not 3.

Re:

Hi Ned, The chances are it came out of the Wally Green workshops, Wally use to build for lots of shops and its a good bet from what i have read ,it came from his workshop. One of the give aways is the top eye wrapover this was one of the workshop styles. Hope this helps. I think it`s going to look great when i get it together.
