You can buy a 'carbon' road bike in...

Super interesting and hope it goes well. If they get into the CX / Gravel Grinder / Light Touring / Monster Cross / 26" drop-bar
scene offering Steel and Ti they may be on to a winner. Throw in some Fat Bikes too. There's plenty of well established road
custom builders so it makes sense not to go in that direction.

So much misinformation and misunderstanding in this thread.

The "mould" copies of Pinarellos (google "Chinarello" and prepare for a world of pain as the debates get very nasty and personal), Cervélos and Specializeds are pirate copies. They are NOT from the same factory but made by outfits that will take anything and copy it.....in a very poor quality indeed. Like buying a fake Louis Vuitton bag in tackiness.

Open mould is something else. Many mid-scale firms are using these with their own personal touches/modifications added into the mix and they are legit. And some are rather nice indeed.

Will be following this very closely. Already written to them this morning!

Would be so proud to be able to offer my customers in Denmark a frame made a few miles from where I was born and grew up.

Have a look at Halfords site - they had a large range of Pinarellos. As always, I will add that i am not employed by them!!
