Gathered all the parts today in the sunshine so I could have a think about some outstanding options.

Then laid some parts out in a kind of ‘mood board’, so I could assess crank/ring combos, seat post colour, and tyre choice.

Then pushed on with a draft build, until the sun went behind the house and it got too cold to continue

Got a few parts to give a quick clean, but should just be an evenings worth of tinkering to get her up and running

Let’s see it all blacked out with the cranks, seat post and porcs... reckon that would make the paint really stand out

Not usually one for blacked-out builds, but I agree with Velo.

I have a feeling this will look amazing with the black kit and porcs.

Not that it looks bad now!

Keep the Cook's cranks for sure. Cook Bros and Yeti is the one!

Points noted!
Tyres and seatpost not a problem, however - the Shimano big ring wouldn't fit the Cooks crank because of it's anti-chain slip pin clashing with the back of the crank arm I'll have a look and see if I have any other black SG rings without the pin, as I wouldn't want to file it down just for this build.

An option is to fit the Shimano cranks - but I'd rather keep the Cooks fitted of course

Very nearly complete, just need some pedals fitted and to get it outside

Bullseye bottom bracket was a bit of a pain to set up, but it and the hubs spin really nicely

I’ve also set the brakes up the ‘wrong’ way around as per the Yeti build instructions - so must remember that on a ride

Installed the black Tioga seatpost which for some reason seems to have a very slight flare at the base, so isn’t the smoothest fit and won’t go down as far as I need. Will leave it for now, but will probably switch back to the silver DX post - or maybe a silver Moby I’ve borrowed.
