And so it is with this immortal quote, that I begin the Build Thread for my John FROmac [sic].. This is not one of JT's [many] race YETIs, this is a Tribute

The Canvas for this Build is sinnerman's YETI FRO which I snagged a few months back.

After a Strip Back to the frame alone, the Build moved forward with a period silver Chris King Threadset bolting the RAL1026 resprayed Accutrax to the fuselage.

With the Devil in the Detail, I have tried to start from the base components and work upwards. Wheelset starts with an M732 rear hub, converting it to Eight Speed; Cue hub stripdown, freehub removal..

36 Hole version necessary for the Requisite Rumbler..

Lace that up to a Mavic 231CD, and shoe it with a Dawg..

Cleaned up some parts from the Donor Build..

No Delusions of Grandeur here..

120 Tioga TBone, some rise, and a Cinelli 48 to reduce the Trail Twitch.. Cousin, King & Front Wheel slotted in..

Bar Tape Cable Tape Prep..

..and It's a Wrap..

Second Bedroom aka The Workstation..

These are the Brakes

The Cantis are a duff set I picked up some time ago, just waiting for the right build/excuse/time..

They polish up good

The All Important Rumbler sitting pretty.. Hound Dawg to be replaced with the specified [and an "in the post"] Mud Dawg..

Eight Block out back; this is not an M737, but a rather rare M735 Limbo Unit.. Mates to the Ultegra BarEnd Shifters perfectly..

I have a 350mm 26.8mm Campagnolo post on its way [$$$!!], along with an Avocet saddle to match the spec.. Otherwise, the Back End is looking good

Front End ain't too shabby either

All that remains to do is the Bar Tape.. And that is tricky.. After a previous attempt to convince myself that Cinelli Blue/Grey would work, I've gone slightly more creative.. Mrs Roon and I have Pollack'd a Deda Fluoro Yellow tape, to try get that Yellow/Green/Turquoise Offf The Front tape that The Tomes used..

When boxes with the Magic C turn up at Work, it's hard not to plan an Evening of Bike Business..

I was going to hold off until Sunday to finish the Build, but impatience got the better of me..

Even Mudha [my Muddy Budha] was stoked that I was going to finish the FROmac off..

So.. Taped Up, Caged Up and Saddled Up.. Them 48s sure are brawny..

Chained Up, Rubbered Up, Cabled Up..

Sweet.. Sweet.. Sweet..
