FWIW JP downplayed the Lindwall connection. Gave me some background that I may expand on in the future, but not gonna dig into it a lot right now.

Cheers Martin, great journalism and writing on your blog. Yes, I'm not sure what accounts for the lack of Lindwall credit in the great internet search? As far as I know history, Lindwall built Sweetheart frames and Parker came along and learned from them, bought frames/jigs/fixtures, tubing and for whatever reasons, went off with the knowledge and materials to do Yeti. But there's three sides to a story. His, and his, and the truth. Thanks for being careful when writing the history books. :D

Excellent information. Great work!

There was a Team Shrew Yeti for sale locally last year, now i'm regretting not picking it up. :(

....lost to the pages of history, until it surfaces on the Ebay someday.

Re:

If my hazy memory serves me right it was in pretty rough shape superficially, heavy wear overall including the Bullseye cranks. Size was smaller than the pink Shrew.

I can contact my local Yeti ex-pro rider for more information. Fairly sure he knows all the past Yeti riders in my area.

And of course without pictures and serial number this doesn't mean much but i will try to get more information and update soon.

Was it the 411 bike that I have on my site? That sold on ebay a year or so ago for $900. It's my garage getting restored right now.

I can't say for sure, though it did have Bullseye cranks, Team Shrew sticker, and lots of wear.

I recall spending half my day researching Team Shrew on the web trying to learn more about T-Shrew, didn't find much.

Re:

Have you got these two in your list?

- Yeti Yak #440
- Yeti FRO, apparently no serial number but round top tube and portage strap mounts

- Yeti FRO # 587 is on German ebay at the moment. Unfortunately, matching forks and stem are sold seperately.

- Have you found out the serial number of "Marc's FRO", allegedly from 1985 with darts paint scheme?

- Also, there are a lot of older FROs scattered around in these threads:

http://forums.mtbr.com/vintage-retro-cl ... 392-4.html

e.g. 428 with oval top tube and portage strap Mounts:

(C) User Banks

one with round TT and dart paint scheme:

Edit: and another early one. #385 with round TT, 26.6 seatpost and portage straps mounts. Unfortunately, not original colour anymore.
