Yeti FRO 1987

Not finished, still searching for ferrules, seatpost etc., etc. but have a look here:

OK, I got the FRO frame/fork set nearly rust-free with no cracks or dents.
Great Basis!
It had been badly repainted so the question was what to do with it.
I didn´t want to copy one of the great builds seen here or in the other forums.
I always loved the few Landshark paintings on the early FROs, so (with a little help of my friends) the idea was to create a "My-favorite-Yeti-colours-Camo" paint.

I love it!

Awesome so far.

I think that direction for paint is the best possible move you could have made. Different, but totally period appropriate.

Re:

Wow! Makes a nice change to see a Yeti not painted in one of the classic colourways.

Ive just realized  if you click on your picture, it links you too more photo's. "brilliant"

Good to see how the frame was before the resto :D

Thanks!
I wanted something new, crazy but also near the traditional Yeti/Landshark colourway. The paint was made by a professional airbrusher and the finish is high gloss clear coat.
The Umma Gummas (since 1992) are the only parts which are not totally time correct. I tried with black skinwalls but was not satisfied.
In the next week I will change the headset. A silver polished CK is already waiting. Also I hope to get the missing ferrules.
If anyone has got a p.c. 26.8 seatpost, please let me know.
