Absolutely stunning rig  , very nice flat too :)

 That was actually my old office - I found keeping one of my bikes @ my office not only looked cool and a good way to meet fellow cyclists that I did business with, but also if I was overwhelmed with something or was stuck on a problem, I would take a 10-15 min break and still in my suit and dress shoes, just ride around the block and it was a GREAT stress release and/or way to clear my mind :p

THIS RIG IS IN INCREDIBLE CONDITION!
I'm passionate about bikes and have a small collection of rare and/or vintage bikes that I display in my family room and take out for occasional rides. Fork
Rockshox Boxxer 8"

That's nice  Out of curiosity, what else is in the collection?
And not nit picking... but I have one of those Boxxers, aren't they a 6" travel fork?

Oh by the way, would you please confirm that this is a 1997 framekit?
I have a Schwinn Straight 6 with the same brake/hub set as this and I want to double check the years because all the stuff from 1998-2000 came out with Hayes brakes and Ringle' hubs.

I got called out to a client late Sunday, sorry about my lack of response. I'm almost positive it is a '98 frameset - I get back tomorrow morning and I will double check.

The brakes and hubs are Hope. It's been almost eleven years since the bike was built up, but it was not purchased as a complete bike, being in college at the, we built it up one peice at a time (':p') ➡️

Yep, I did the same with my old 2000 Straight 8. Piece by piece.

Just check the serial numbers on the bottom bracket and on the underside of the swingarms. There will be a "97" or "98" in the sunber somewhere if they use the same numbering system as Schwinn.

All the 98-00 frames/bikes I've seen have all had Hayes brakes untill the 2000-> bikes came with a Shimano XT 4-pot option.

You are correct, I did not double check my info before I posted - thanks for pointing that out!
