Yeti ARC AS short travel 18" BIN £1500

Man that's tasty and something I'd love to own!

May need to sell a couple of bikes to afford it though.

You know I would've said that years ago regarding this and that manufacturer wise but now when it comes to old thin walled tubed bikes,so not just Yeti's but Pace,Manitous ect I just wouldn't spend that sort of wonger to take it out the next day and Bang......the headtubes got a crack in it or the seattube has come away from the bb

Yes I know what your gonna say next, that could happen to any bike but all you see now regarding these bikes at the moment are threads starting with "where can I my Pace fixed" or "bought this off ebay and low and behold its shagged thread". Lately there's been so many Pace frames or fully built on ebay you wonder if these guys are getting rid so they are not the ones to finally find that dreaded seat tube crack in their RC300!!

Does anybody really ride these bikes in anger anymore or do you fear for them breaking after you've spent xyz in building the bike of your dreams and have them as art and all that tush...??

I know what your saying, I certainly wouldn't thrash an older bike around like I do my modern bike.

Having said that I took my 97 GT STS-1 to Bedgebury yesterday and gave it a good ride with no signs of an issue.

I figure the Yeti would make a great long day cross country riding partner.
I don't think I'm going to be it's new owner though due to lack of cash for bikes right now and 3 projects still on the go ;)

With those wheels and that spec that was a great price IMHO.
