This one's a tiny 13" 2005 model which has been stripped of its original beige paint and polished pretty nicely.

Plan is to remove the rough replacement decals and re-polish. I have a set of original 2003 decals and I'm tempted to respray the front end neon orange at some time in the future, leaving the rear polished so, for now, I have photocopied the decal set and vinyl coated the copies (retouched with orange accents), just to get my orange fix 😛

Picked up a set of early 2K Marzocchi Flylight Air forks and have a few other bits and pieces on the way.

Oh this is gonna be one tight build! Are you going gears or single?

Gotta love a 00’s Stuff! I built mine and sprained my ankle so can’t ride it for a bit 🙈

It'll definitely be singlespeed to start with as I'm impatient to get it up and running - hoping to find a magic ratio to save the extra expense of a chain tensioner. Been playing away on a BMX for a while too so happy to do without the complication of gears. My old '03 Roast happily ran (I think) 36/18 without a tensioner although this build will have 24" wheels and a 32T front ring so I need to do a few calculations to make it work and find a suitable ratio.

Oh amazing! Another dirt jumper :)

The Kona 2003 Roast i remember lusting after 😂

I do believe @arseface (the guy with the original recent 2003 stuff thread) has an excelSpreadsheet for working out equivalent ratios of different crank lengths, wheel sizes and chain rings if needed :)

Fixed this one up for my father inlaw. Everything was a little rough when I got it but some used parts, parts bin saved and some choice nee parts and i think it turned out pretty cool.

Very nice frames.

Thanks @mamadirt

They’re a really great looking frame. Yours is turning out nice. Very smart.

I’ve saved the old 24seven cranks, cleaned them up, bought new bearings for the bottom bracket and got a renthal chainring. Going to fit them to my Uber V I’m resurrecting as a spare bike…. Ltwoo aliexpress drivetrain for the win…..
