Yes it’ll come off instantly with use. I may use them on the 14.5 aqua one I have as that won’t be ridden. It’s all flexible currently.

No disc brakes in 1993 ? …or back pedal brakes

Nah I don’t do discs on builds. Not a massive fan of them until about 98/99

Ambrosio CC22 rims - one of my faves!

Above is a NOS, vrs a pair of lightly used ones behind. The anodising disappeared quite quickly from memory... almost as quick as the braking surface wears. I wore out a rear in about 18 months.

Another fantastic build incoming by the looks of it.

Don't look too shabby to me Dom! Like the valve caps and headset spacer to tie in some discreet blue with the forks. Fred Salmon parts too - something a bit different.

The parts are actually quite decent but the frame is a little scratched.

I’m happy with it though as it’ll be ridden hence using V brakes and M739.

I built a ball burnished one a bit ago to use a bit and the spec has gone a bit crazy now that’s it’s too good to leave places or knock about on so this one can fill that gap

Tried it but it’s hard work unfortunately.

Easier to wait for a better frame to come up as I’m sure one will at some point. It’s part of the fun
