It's 1992, pretty much the only year it can be.
It's a respray.

Evidence.
1990/1/2 only years of wishbone stays
1990 would have U-brakes rear
1991 would normally have a noodle front mech tube, rear mech tube and headtube mounted cable stop, some of these may be missing)
1992 therefore is the only year left and the rear brake noodle fits in, the cable routing is correct and so does the look of it.

EDIT, I'm sure I've seen this on ebay or one that had the same treatment.
EDIT2, Came with Tange Struts, they 'blizzards' where never designed for suspension, possibly until much later.

Hmm...Well, I figured 91-92 ish, but the chances of it having been repainted are slim. If it was, it was factory done. This is a Canadian issue bike, I`m wondering if it was a limited paint run?

i agree with FC, i'd say it's definitely a 92. curious to know what makes you say it wasn't a respray?

That's the size I need damnit! Love that paint. there was a Selle Italia saddle that matched IIRC.

"Saddle that matches"...You mean in colour or pattern?

Not coming from a collector. Owner has had it for years. While I`d "never say never", it seems pretty unlikely.

It was (I think) a Selle Italia XO with the same maple leaf design embroidered into the leather. I actually had one on my old Explosif briefly, but I don't think I have a picture - i will look for you though.

EDIT: Flying leaves paint first appeared in 1997 - Selle Italia Manganese railed saddle was OEM on bikes that year too, though i still can't find you a pic - probably a race bike that got beat up and was sent back to RM for a respray - I'm pretty sure RM offered that service for a while.
