XTR v’s - cable tightening bolt. Bottom or top?

Top. You can see the groove on the arm in the pic, and that with the cable routed through the bottom as pictured, it doesn't look 'straight" as it should.

As above, it is always the groove, brakes, mechs etc.

If in doubt, for a few year Shimano has been ace and we now have most the old instructions.
