Thank you - I’m querying a response I got regarding reverse shifting - will the SLX shift naturally with the low lying reversed M960 rear mech? Or reversed - as if I used M952 shifters with it?

With a rapid rise mech all thumb shifters will be the opposite way round.

Works the same, the mech is sprung the opposite way so when you press on the bottom shifter lever it will go the opposite way to what you are used to. That's how they were designed to work.

Thanks guys - I know I touched upon this elsewhere here but I assumed shifters made specifically for these new low hanging mechs would work naturally -

If I can pick up M760 shifters for a bargain price I’ll give it a go - and if I’m not comfortable with shifting Up using my thumbs - I’ll sell them and stick to what I know and like.

Let’s see
If I’m not happy there’ll be a set of M960 mech and M970 shifters on sale here
