New design again?!

Well they cant stay the same for 2 years on the trot otherwise people wouldn't know your using last years kit and therefore utterly uncool...

Untill it becomes retro and therefore ubercool in some people's eyes.

I think they look great and they will work fantasticly.

Although I would rather chew my foot off than give Shimano my money.

al. :D

ooh! I'm in a mood today.

Looks completely overstyled to me. What's all this swoopy thing about anyway?

Oh, of course, aerodynamics. You really need that on an MTB.

It's amazing that the original M900 cranks survived unchanged for 4 odd years.

Must say that's not quite true.
After the 1st year (1992 model) they changed the rings to the SG-X system, from the SG system (i.e. give it a pick up tooth top ring) and in 1995 model year they brought out a new 950 setup though I believe they still sold M900 but with Alu chainring bolts and Ti bottom bracket nuts.

Though my M900 crank arms have survived 18 years, mostly.., apart from the hairline cracks coming from the square tapers
