Just looking at the rear shifter it has what appear to be other mounts and cable routes on it.
Looking at them it appears to me that cables are supposed the thread through both shift levers maybe to operate them remotely from another location :? Reason of which eludes me, and i can find no reference to anything like that on any shimano document on their site.
Clear on the main up thumb lever there is a through hole that appears to look like a rivet for holding the plastic bit on, but its missing from the front shifter. These are for remote operation, but remote from where :?
Anyone know what the function is, or where its to be used ? Thought maybe it connects to another shift lever, maybe on a recumbent or some such.
