XT Biopace Rings and Cranks

Keeping an eye out for a centre ring and came across this. It says only light wear on the chainrings. Take a look at the centre one. I'd hate to see heavy wear. :shock:

Thanks, good to know. Biopace chainrings are as rare as hen's teeth by the looks of things.

Agree. Those chainrings in that auction are definitely NOT Biopace, but they look to have a lot of life left in them (I've ridden lots worse). The seller could have taken a minute or two to clean them up a little, however.

SG does not necessarily mean Biopace, but Biopace can be SG. SG was available in both round rings and Biopace, but note that both the label and the rings will indicate whether it's Biopace or not.
