XT 732/735 groupset

tom.

Dirt Disciple
I got this off a donor bike the other day, but in my heart I'm more of an M737 guy, so I'm selling it. Everything is marked from storage (it looks like it's spent some time at the bottom of a shed), but clearly very (very) low mileage. If you're skilled and polishing, you can probably make this look really special.

The groupset consists of:

170mm M732 cranks with standard rings (I think I counted 46/34/24?). The big and middle rings are marked on the inside, and I've only got one cap. I think the black mark is something on my phone's lens rather than the crank.

BR-M732 calipers w/barely used XT pads.

XT pedals (I'm not sure of the model number).

SH-M091 shifters/brakes (untested).

RD-M735 (28t capacity, 28t max) rear mech.

FD-M735 front mech (not sure of the band size)

Shimano bottom bracket (marked 1.37x24T on the cups). The bearing surfaces look great, although the seals feel a bit gritty - I think that this is probably from my degreasing attempts. I was thinking about pulling them out and cleaning then, but I wasn't sure how to do this without damaging the seals, so left it. It's currently smooth, and if you know what you're doing you can probably get this even smoother.

HG chain. Basically measured as new using my chain gauge - split it at the hollow pin. so ready to be rejoined with another weird Shimano pin or have a split link fitted.

12-28T HG cassette - looks barely used.

Given the condition, the (I think pretty rare) bottom bracket and the inclusion of the pedals, and noting that SH-M091 aren't very desirable, I think that I'd like something in the £150 (inc. UK postage) range. If that number is way off the mark, feel free to tell me what it should be.

If anyone wants to look it over, it's in Solihull but can be in Bristol.

Clearly I've got the pricing on this wildly wrong. Make an offer if you're interested - I'm more than happy to do a deal on this and the matching wheels.

If no one wants the whole thing, I'll probably split this. Feel free to let me know what you'd want if I do.

I'm now splitting this into a few different "lots". I don't really know what stuff is worth, so everything is ONO - if you're interested, make an offer.

I have:

XT M730/M732 on Araya RM17s £50. I've tried to clean them up to show their condition better, although having accidentally taken a chunk of logo off, I've been fairly conservative with my efforts. Rims have very little wear to the sidewalls and no obvious flat spots, while the nipples are rusty (is that even possible?). The rear hub is super smooth and clicky, the front hub was pretty crunchy but now seems decent following a clean, new bearings and fresh grease. Comes with the original skewers (which don't look great TBH).

Ritchey Megabyte 2.1" £40 (pair) Good amount of treat, no obvious cracking. I wasn't sure how to clean up the sidewalls, so didn't risk it. I can't imagine that you'll find better condition 28 year old tyres.

M732 170mm cranks plus BB £70 Cranks are clean with only light scuffing. Rings are very lightly worn, and the BB feels smooth and has (visually) very good races.

Bar ends £10 I don't know much about them. Wedge type, seem decent. Marked at the ends from (I presume) being lent against walls.

SH-M091, RD-M735, FD-M735 £70 Rear mech is what I would describe as "short cage" (28t capacity, 28t max) and the front mech is a 31.8mm band. Shifters seem to work, although I've not set everything up to check.

Cateye CC100 £10 I put a battery in to see if it works, and the head unit turned on but then faded so I couldn't work out if the sensor works. Being sold as spares or repair.

If it means that I can get rid of it next week (and save myself the effort of spliting it), I'll do a deal on everything: tyres, wheels, front and rear mechs, STIs, cranks, bottom bracket, bar ends, computer. I can even throw in some basically new Oury grips (not 90s, but the design hasn't changed).

£160 plus postage (if you want it posting)

Re:

Have the cantis sold separately?
I could do with the wheels, cantis, rear mech and Sti’s
