They suffered instantaneous catastrophic failure an inch or so from the stem clamp after I think about one year of use. I was extremely lucky to have been just pootling around when it happened - I was left holding the entirely detached broken side, connected only by the gear/brake cables. This occured to at least one other set in my acquaintances of the time, so I guess this is why they were half the price of other titanium bars of the era!
Exactly the same thing happened to mine :shock: I'd just stopped riding to have a drink, went to ride away and half my handlebar came away in my hand :shock:
edited to add I was actually warned by lbs to only use them for one season as I was racing with them, they lasted about a year and a half :?
