You're using the open bar as a sort of gentle drop bar? Looks great. I love inverting bars. Old MC cruiser bars makes for great wide drops.You can rest easy lads, no harm befell the shim in the making of this bar/stem combo!
Once detached from the stem, it was all a little anti-climactic as it slid on no bother…. looks cool though!

Actually don’t mind the blue as much as I thought I would, maybe a blue seat clamp to match…? 
Brake hoses are too Short so rear hose will go on the front and the rear will get a new one.
Also thinking I’ll run it single speed, and maybe even sell the 12 speed XTR so I can’t wimp out!

What are those spacers? Very nice.
The blue is... I don't know. I don't HATE it, but I also don't love it. A clamp could perhaps balance it out but it's a fairly long and blue stem, so it is quite in yer face. Do you have a blue clamp to test? Bars go superbly with the Stooge.

That sounds perfect to be honest, but effort.Plan was to have the stem anodised to match the headset and the bars painted in the same Pantone 3995C as the frame and forks.
A titanium seat clamp to match the headset spacers and an absolute black ring and cog.
