Not quite as glamorous as DiaCompe SS7s, they were originally tektro!

Tektro, note the swoopy line under the pivot bolt - same as the X-lite:

I had some. Hated them. Thought they were too flexy and was worried the clamps were going to snap under a hard braking.

OMG! I've still got a set of those Tektro's on my Orange P7...the red anodising has worn down and now they're pink!!..

Are they Sh't or are they ok? What would be a good replacement for them if i wanted to upgrade?? I have old school XTR Canti brakes

As dbmtb says, they do feel a little flexy in my view, although I've had no problems resultantly. The quality of the levers themselves is not as good as Dia-Compe or Shimano though... I think they're great levers for a budget custom finish - particularly if you want some Brit bits.

Dia-Compe SS7s or SS5s, or Shimano XT or DX (or XTR depending on your gear shifters) levers are all amongst the suitable replacements.

There are other, pricier options - Grafton or Paul's for instance.

Take a look through the builds via the forum for inspiration!

I've got some mint blue Dia-Compe SS7 that I no longer need if anyone is interested :)
