In the end I couldn't lay hands on the RSX mech but did find a Sachs one of similar quality. It's not Shimano but I've used it on a touring bike with both Sachs and Shimano (bar end) friction shifters without issue. Here's a few pics:

Glad you like it. Regarding a price, I've gotten an idea of what the model fetches on ebay and noticed that the triple version seems rarer and this bumps the price up a tad more. So I feel £10 is fair, plus £3.75 postage (unless you might be local to NW London and could collect from me).
