Sure - apologies I am not super familiar with front mechs. Will update the post.

Which shifters are you running, MTB or Road? Cable pulls are different, so while there is a work around for MTB front mechs with road shifters, it's not possible the other way.

OK, either will work then! The shifters have enough extra pull to cope with an MTB front.

Great to know, thanks! Just getting the clamp size right then? Tubing does not seem very thick.
