WTD: Pace RC39 85mm. Fox F80x 80mm or Dtswiss xrc80 forks.

And I have a set of Fox F100 Terralogics , the Fox's are currently running 100mm but believe they could be altered to go 80... great forks... steerer is around 190 iirc ... if your interested drop me a line..

Thanks for your replies chaps if I'm going to go for some fox forx they would need to be in silver or black and correct travel to suit the frame.
Sithlord I was after some terralogics, how would you change the travel to 80mm is it a professional job?

Tommy... I think changing the travel is a job that can be done by anyone familiar with suspension fork workings and understanding ,, a quick google search confirms that the travel can be changed on the F100X, by adjusting the travel spacers etc , however its not something that I personally would undertake due to lack of experience with the black arts of suspension...

As my forks are in really good condition and were only serviced by mojo last year,, maybe it would be worth letting the experts undertake the job for you or indeed if your confident, then maybe its something you'd be able to undertake yourself.. ?

Thanks for your reply Si, forgive my ignorance I too am not over familiar with the dark art of suspension. Would reducing the travel to 80mm change the axel to crown measurement? What colour are the forks and how much wonga were you thinking?

I would assume the axle to crown might change ,, but saying this, all your doing is adjusting the travel with spacers internally , so it may not alter this but not 100% tbh

It's a Float 100 and steerer might be too short for you, just a bit over 170mm.

Changing travel is quite easy,all it requires is adding a spacer to the shaft which contains the gubbins for the air chamber/seal. You will need to order oil and crush washer for the bottom nut from TF or Mojo. Manuals available online and it's quite an easy job.

My RLC 100s are silver and more importantly have no marks on the stanctions.

I paid £150 for them but open to offers

You should be able to download a manual from the Fox web-site or just search on-line.

It's quite straightforward, but if you don't like the look of what you see above or don't have the tools it may be better to get someone to do it for you.

Thanks for the offers guys, but I think i'm going to hold out for some 80-85mm rc39's or some Fox terralogic 80mm. If I switch around the spacers etc to convert from 100 to 80 travel I think the axel to crown will remain the same. I've been riding with 100mm rigid's and the feel on the pace is quite twitchy compared to my other bikes, although still great to ride!

Dropping the travel by 20mm will decrease the a-c by 20mm
