WTD: Nice modernish compact road bike

Sold my Dynatech to a more worthwhile owner who will enjoy it muchly so.

Im after a compact modernish roadbike. I know nothing about roadbikes so please be gentle.

I'd prefer the compact style frameset (ala MTB) as I'm not keen on gates.

Im 6'1" and *think* i need a 56cm or equivelent.

Hi Jez

You could probably try a 58cm as i ride a 56 and i'm 5'10.Most of the modern stuffs pretty good now but the Giant tcr or a Speciallized Allez will handle most things,anything specific you would like to do?
