these forks are for Orange who are restoring a P7 for their own collection

they need to be 1" threaded or ahead to fit a 19" frame

options considered are

F7 forks
pace rc35
rockshox mag or quadra

anything that may have been available at the time and specced on an Orange from around 1994/5/6

thanks :D

thanks! should have looked a bit i suppose!

they might do the job, ideally wanted nickel but they may be ok

cheers
:D

I have a set of judy xc's with 1 inch ahead steerer inc headset- they came off a 19" p7 as it happens. they're white with red decals, not sure what year but might be too modern for your needs 97/98/99 at a guess. Pictures later if you're interested

Spibbs :)

it's a possibility but as you say, maybe a little late.

coming clean, these forks are for Orange themselves. I have helped them out before and they have asked if i know of a suitable fork for their own retro build!

they have their own little retro collection and they doing a nickel P7 at the moment

:D

Cool

at one point they were selling off their own NOS stock on ebay- SK8 stems etc, sure it was only in the last few years.

I'm looking for some F7's too...

well with this one they have found/bought a P7 and are trying to do it as the spec sheet would have allowed, pref F7 fork but others are a possibility if they were on the spec sheet back then

:)

seems retro is in the trade!!

that's great :) what a fantastic position you're in- helping Orange with a retro build. I can't wait to see the results. though if they get 19" nickel F7's before me I will be cross.

Just spotted this thread. I actually bought some nickel F7's direct from Orange a couple of years ago (£25 if I remember). They said at the time they were the last set in the factory. They VERY nearly let me have a nickel 19" frame also (can't remember if it was a Clockwork or P7).

The forks are now waiting to go on my latest Clockwork '93 build (this will be my 3rd Clockwork in the last 5 years). Having read this I feel privileged to own them, and I very nearly had them shot-blasted and sprayed black to match the frame - the sprayer (Mario Vaz) talked me out of it!
