Ah, sorry I was rushing things....current steerer is 135mm, anything longer could probably be cut down provided there's enough thread left. Going into a Shimano 600 headset.

I think that I may have just left a response to your LFGSS thread?

They look the part Cipollini, though I'm a little apprehensive about the steerer length with regards to cutting down to 135mm. Can you tell me if I'll have some thread to spare at that distance? Also, I don't fancy taking to them with a saw myself so I'd probably pay to have that done- I've got to check it out, find how much I'll be charged.

Nice forks Tel, don't suppose anybody has a rough idea as to how much I'd be charged for having a steerer cut and (re-)threaded?

pretty easy to cut them down yourself, just make sure you measure a few times to be sure and thread the upper cone down to underneath the cut before you saw them. once you've sawn them down, unthreading the cone will chase the threads out fine and you should have no trouble threading stuff onto it

Just give your LBS a ring they'll give you a good idea. I would think between £10-£15.
