WTD, 126mm old wheelset

Looking for the following items to help on a restoration/rebuild of an early 1980’s Olmo Grand Prix Bike.
I’m hoping to get everything done and partake in l’eroica Britannica in Summer 2015

Currently have 36 hole Fiamme tubular wheels on the bike – but want to swap to clinchers.


Clincher Wheelset (F&R)

126mm OLD rear hub axle width
32/36 holes and will take a suitable 6 speed freehub – if you can sell me the freehub as well, even better)

I have the following wheelset available:

Ambrosio Elite clincher wheelset, 700c

Anodised silver grey surface
36 spoke, laced X four
Miche Superfast hubs w. QR skewers (Italian thread on rear hub)
Hubs smooth, rims true
OLD front 100mm, OLD rear 126mm
Label on front wheel beginning to peel (see pics)
Scrape on front rim (see front wheel pic, ca. 1 o' clock)
Shimano MF-HG 6 speed freewheel, 14-28T, teeth reasonable, good for hills
Limited life left in tyres (Veloflex Master 23c front, Michelin Dynamic 25 c rear)
Inner tubes brand new

Scrape on front rim does not affect braking performance.

Wheelset is available from Denmark.

I have a selle royal saddle, which at a guess is from the early 80's... decent condition, one small scuff/tear to the rear on one side. 15 GBP posted

I also have a Rolls which is slightly later (not sure when they came out actually?) but again good condition - leather slightly scuffed, but all brass coloured bits are good and virtually rust free 22.50 posted (no pics yet, can sort one tomorrow)

Dru I've got a set of Campagnolo veloce brakes (older type). The rear is all together and working fine and in good condition. I have treated the front as for spares bit I'm sure you could get our working. Again good condition just needs bits and the skill to do it.

I have just got hold of a pair of 36 hole Mavic Silver MA rims (like MA2)I could build them onto some record hubs that I was keeping.The rims are very good condition with minimal wear to the side walls.The hubs have just had new bearings and inner cups fitted.They would have to be £80 posted.Pm me if you are interested.jm.

Hi Dru....red Turbo in excellent condition..no scuffs..no tears...You will stand out with this saddle...unless you are cycling!....1990 but the Turbo saddle came out in 1980 according to Selle Italia...the EB rules state bikes must be 1987 but does not mention saddles...and i won't tell if you don't!.....£29 posted.
