HI,

Looking to build a small mtb for the wife. Want it shipped to me in the States.. so those Retro Bikers in the States let me know what you have.

Here is what I want...

Small a nice retro 14 inch or 13 inch steel mountain bike or frameset/ with rigid fork from the 90's. Prefer a Kona, Voodoo, Stumpjumper or something similar. Would like a nice Tange or Reynolds steel. Willing to pay ebay rates. $100 - $400.. depending what you have. Paint should be in excellent condition... but might be interested in a bike with paint in rough shape,, if you offer it cheap enough. (A new powder coat and decals cost $$)

Please nothing with dents or seized parts.. (ie... Seatpost or Bottom Bracket)

Please include detailed pictures and price in your emails.

I don't have anything for sale myself, but frames that small will be very hard to find. Not many came in sizes below 17 inches when rigid forks were the norm IIRC.

I know someone that rides a small Cannondale hardtail. Its small enough that the top tube and seatstays form a straight line, like a dirt jump bike.

These are similar, but may not be old enough for what you want...

Thanks... for the ebay links.. but I want to go with steel.

I will be putting an add up on CL, I can't do it now because
I am out of the country.

I was on the MOMBAT site and somehow remembered your post looking for a very small frame. How about a 1991 Alpinestars Cro Mega?

This may not be high enough up the (Kona) food chain. 89 Fire Mountain in hardly ridden VGC (still has the OEM Kona tires on it, but the sidewalls are going to powder). I converted the rear wheel from bolt on axle to QR and threw some 730 on it for S&Gs, but would put the OEM Mountain Exage back on it to sell it. $125+ whatever it would cost to ship it to MA.
