Wrist watch and timepiece discussion thread

I went all in for the Swatch x Omega collection. Didn’t get caught up in all the ‘Gold’ Moon versions, and haven’t bought any of the latest black/white or Snoopy versions. Have got one of the Mission on Earth ‘Polar Lights’, and bought a Swatch x Blancpain ‘Ocean of Storms’ as a birthday treat, but I’m not a die-hard Swatch fan to commit to any more of the same watch.

Some proper collections and posh watches here! 😲😍😎

I love watches, but only own one. Seiko Diver Kinetic 5m62 0bl0. I think it's about 13 years old?

Worn all the time and only really gets taken off when working on tricky jobs where it can get caught/in the way.

In it's time I've gone through x3 genuine Seiko straps and it stopped working/charging (I could feel the kinetic bit was no longer spinning properly) about 2 years ago. I sent to Seiko UK and was fixed for £117.50.

I don't have a massive collection. Just the 4 really.
The flight master was my dad's but he had no emotional attachment, it was a gift to him after retiring.
The fossil bigtic was bought by me with my first real paycheck and the seiko 5 Mil was a gift from a friend and colleague who left. There's another 5 in buts in a draw waiting to be out back into service but the hair spring is kinked. Got another movement and it had the same issue. Not touched them since.
There's also my pocket watch that I'm converting to a mechanical movement, just need a stem extension for it. I'm more interesting in the mechanics of them. 20241209_113423.jpg

Nothing too posh here but we like them.

A Timefactors PRS-36 / Smiths Cushion Case for which I've bought a movement to (hopefully) learn servicing on and a NOS movement for future proofing.

And my better halves teeny tiny and very elegant Record Automatic (which someone else will be servicing!!)

I find watches are fascinating and have always had a few. No particular brand alligiance but I do like TAGs.
Currently I've got these 3 TAGs, a Tudor BB58 Blue, about 25 various Seikos and about 15 others.
The Birmingham Watch Fair at The National MotorCycle Musuem is good for a wander around (about 4 shows per year).
