Wow that could be a bargain.

I can't see the picture or access the link (I'm on my work computer), but is that the "barn find" one..?

If it is, then the Buy it Now wasn't bad on it either... £100 IIRC.

Just e-mailed seller and it would seem that it is a real '91 Zaskar (Serial number 03911646).

I can't afford it at the moment, must resist.

What's the big thing with Zaskars? Forgive my ignorance. Not a criticism. Just want to know.

In a nutshell? Strong, Light, Cheap.

I think the Zaskar is one of the very few retro frames which is all three of the above. Usually you have to make do with two.

And they're versatile - you can build them as a weight weenie bike, or as a bombproof trail centre warrior. They never seem to break (do a search), and they just look timeless.

They look amazing wearing full XTR, or simply built with whatever is lying around in the shed at the time.

Oh, and they handle like you wouldn't believe...

Apart from that they're pretty standard ;)

I would add to list Hans Rey rode that thing for many years... so Zaskars must be cool then. No way.

Local to me , but equipment looks cheap .

Pretty sure that will reappear on ebay , with a local seller .

Couldn't resist in the end so hit the BIN button, not that bothered about the components as have a spare XT groupset that will go on it.

Will see how the frame cleans up, then I'll be on the look out for a flip flop stem and 2x4 forks.
