WOW!! 1991 trek 8700 Pro carbon £785

Hi

Being the proud owner of a trek 8300 composite, same as this but in the grey, i really do like these bikes. great ride, light and dont see many about.

I doubt the asking price is anywhere its worth, a little over price if i am honest, as i only paid just over £100 for mine

Gorgeous tho, no doubt about that

Be quick, price is rising, gone up £125 in last few hours so now a bargain £1K only!

Its a lovely bike but.....

Utterly daft...

Claims to be all original and unused but lacks it's original rims, grips, pedals and tyres…and overpriced by at least £700. I do like these very much and they're a great reminder of when Trek were really on it when it came to carbon bikes...

It's not even the top of the range for the model year, that accolade would go to the 8900, complete with the bullseye wheels but also with grafton brakes, RS1 fork and ATAC stem.. Now one of those would be worth some serious cash IMO, if only because all of the ones I've seen have been harvested at some stage for above parts :(

It was £1000 all last week too.
If you're going to ask silly money it may as well be a round number...

just get one from the states! one went for a few hundred $ a few weeks ago, with shipping and duties much cheaper than this......I presume they have added some extra parts to justify the increase in cost?

A big pile of love and serving of happy memories (and Mavric rims, apparently).

When I was in the states I sold a stripped frame and the original forks for $110 about 70 quid.

That bike as good as it's condition is should be around £350

The oner of course can sell it for whatever he wants but given he has had it up for sale for neigh on 6 months I would suspect he should by now realise it will never be what it is worth so should either adjust the price or keep it. Persdonally I would keep it .
