Would it be sacrilege to put anything other that grip shift & coda levers on a Cannondale F series?

Sachs 8spd grip shift and coda levers would probably cost me £80, the same as some nice XT shifters and levers

Not sure it’s that deep? I can’t cope with press press shifters so would go twist grip. What’s the story on the heroic stem: did they come like that originally?

It’s a bit short (but it replaced something ridiculously long)

Plenty of cannondale riders at the time replaced the grip shift with rapidfire, straight out of the dealer- so no problem at all unless you're wanting to go "Catalogue".

I have these but I think I’m going to go all Shimano. (So I might sell these grip shift)
