Dirt Disciple
For three moths now, I commute by bike, not bothering with public transportation. No big deal but it adds up to 70km per week...
I use my 1993 GT Ricochet which looks like a rolling pile of trash from afar but it is a sleeper, it actually is a good bike. The first iteration:
With some custom stainless mudguard blades:
Not showing here are the Tubus/Ortlieb combo I use for lugging around lunch, change of clothes, etc. Gone is the octalink crank which kept falling off (!). And yes, it is an old school dynamo on the fork
Very useful, mostly bombproof but goddamn heavy when loaded, the padlock chain does not help one bit. I'm playing with the idea of finding an aluminium GT frame and a more minimalist rack to shed some weight.
