Work bikes

My work bike is a second hand van Herwerden "Urban Cowboy", made with some very nice Dedacciai oversized steel tubes. It came with a carbon fork, which I replaced with a Surly. The 7 speed Nexus hub with roller brake I replaced with a singlespeed wheel and a Dia Compe long reach rear brake. It has a Son dynamo hub and halogen light.

Current commuter is a 2021 Ridgeback Expedition (26" wheels though! ), but previously I had a multitude of old classics. Quick list follows:
2002 Rock Lobster Ti , best bike I ever owned, ot did everything including survive unscathed from head-on crashes with trees that left me with a7" scar on my inner thigh.
1990s Raleigh RSP 200 mtb and I think a R300 or similar road bike. The mtb rear triangle would flex visibly when you stamped down hard on a sprint or up a hill.
Giant NRS (not sure of the model name, big bouncy thing though!)
And last but not least, and I have no idea why it lasted commuting duty more than one return trip due to its extreme plush bounciness, an RSP 853 freeride in orange and eggplant ( Tango Tuned too, so tbe sticker said 👌)

No picture for me because they are both road bikes.

Im retired now, but my summer commuter was a 1983 Claud Butler Sierra 531, and my winter bike a 2011 Pinnacle Dolomite 105.

Occasionally in the summer I would use my 2010 Giant Trance X, could go almost door to door on bridleways, but it meant leaving half an hour earlier so I rarely did.

My old work bike - Cannondale M500 - sold only yesterday! Enjoyed riding it, and the fact it wasn't too flashy helped for locking confidence.

Did a bit of work on making my Trek 950 a bit comfier. Was a shame to not keep it all original, since it's in such perfect condition, but I'm a lot comfier and more inclined to ride it with the cockpit upgrades. Such a fun bike and perfect for commuting, and everything else!

This is my every day work bike. Can throw this at anything.

Favourite paint job of all my bikes for sure.
