I have a couple

NOS but not in packaging - Dura Ace (cartridge)
Stronglight X94 (the odd one that needs a special tool) taken off my De Rosa after a couple of months use. You get the tool

Stronglight a tenner including postage and any paypal fees. It's just taking up space.

Dura-Ace - Actually I have a couple. Will dig them out and see what I think they are worth....

OK.... Here's what there is. 7410 headset costs £45 on Chain Reaction....

Prices include postage and any paypal fees.

1) Used and taken off a bike. But you won't see it when it's fitted - 25th Anniversary headset. Not terribly interested in selling TBH but if the price is right.... £40
2) NOS and NIB Except for crown race which has been fitted and taken off again. £35
3) NOS but no box, but with Ultegra Crown Race which is slightly deformed from removal but will be OK when fitted. £25

Hmm, the dura-ace ones are tempting but was looking to spend as little as poss. Its for a fixed winter hack so I dont want to put anything too expensive on it plus im a tight arse .
Has the stronglight one got sealed bearings?

Needle bearings.

Not particularly well sealed but I've used this type of headset on winter bikes and MTBs before. The bearings and races are also removable...

I prefer ball bearings myself - needle bearings need to run on thinner grease and need cleaning more often. But they do seem to last for ever.
